The What Works Centre for Wellbeing has announced that it will close in April 2024.
Sarah Davidson, chief executive of Carnegie UK, said: “I am deeply disappointed by the news that the What Works Centre for Wellbeing will close next year. Over the last decade Carnegie UK worked with the centre on several important projects and my thoughts go out to their talented team.”
“At a time when we need more bodies providing the evidence and making the arguments for wellbeing public policy, it is disheartening to find one fewer in the movement. However, it remains clear that traditional policy models aren’t delivering as they should for people and planet. I am therefore certain that the practical and rigorous approaches developed by the centre will continue to have an impact long into the future.”
