Local Environmental Problems And Wellbeing - A Case Study Of Action
This Case Study looks at the regeneration of Springhill Garden of Reflection in West Belfast.
Using public art and working closely with local young people and their families, a partnership of local community and voluntary organisations, residents, public sector agencies and Groundwork Northern Ireland worked to transform this public space. There have been significant improvements to the park which was previously a focus of unrest, drinking, litter, illegal vehicle use and fires. This is one of 8 case studies that informed our Pride in Place Policy Summary.
